Title says it. I came across someone who was basically getting rid of several garbage bags full of bed sheets, and I claimed them at an absurdly low price. Now I’m trying to figure out what to do with the 30+ bed sheet sets I’ve acquired.
They’re mostly cotton and/or cotton blend, and there’s a major mix of colors, patterns, etc. I may try to sell some of them on ebay, but I’ve recently learned how to sew, I have two young sons home this summer, and I would love to explore various ways of having fun upcycling these that also teach me and/or them new skills.
Sewing-upcycling ideas I’ve had include the following:
* cloth masks (duh, we are in a pandemic)
* general clothes
* cloth napkins
* hammock-style padded bed(s) for my cats
* custom quirky plushies
I would love some ideas I could involve my sons in though. They’re 7yo and 4yo though, so not necessarily needle-and-thread age. Any ideas?
What would you do if you had that much fabric to work with?
