Hi! Sorry in advance for the longish post.
I recently upcycled a very large 2 piece china cabinet, and found a buyer. I have it listed for $800, and her daughter messaged me on OfferUp and told me to send her (the step mom) an email, letting her know if it was still available. I did so, and she emailed back saying that she loves the item, and that she is out of town training recruits, so she will be dealing with the pick up via her movers, who are currently moving her stuff out of storage into her new home. She asked for my name and address and cell number to send a check, and told me that once the check is cashed, she will have the pick up scheduled.
My immediate concern is sex trafficking, or possible vetting for a robbery down the road. Maybe I’m worrying too much, but in these times, you never know.
The problem with the item, is that it’s around 600lbs. Bottom half being around 250, and top with the glass inside is around 350. I’d rather it not get damaged by myself or my help while delivering it, so I’m not exactly sure what to do. Any suggestions?
