God's Green America

89% of American adults (about 225 million people) and an additional 48 million young people claim a connection to a faith-based community-one of the 360,000 churches and 3,500 synagogues in the U.S. The interest in environmental issues among this group is high: a recent Barna survey (August 2008) uncovered that 75% of self-identified Christians agreed that they would like to see fellow believers take a more active role in caring for the environment in a way that is both informed and Biblical. At the same time, 65% had never been exposed to any teaching about how the faith-based community should respond to environmental issues. Many distrusted the modern environmental movement, based on concerns about media objectivity.

Green Apple Capital Management - GACM - is the financing arm of God's Green America, recognizing that sometimes a key ingredient for Earth care is cash. GACM provides innovative fund structuring and management services to create pools of money for funding key GGA initiatives in energy efficiency and poverty alleviation. Capital markets will fund truly sustainable projects without charity or government handouts if provided with the right financial vehicles. GACM will supply the engineering to create them.

A division of God's Green America dedicated to the developing world, God's Green Africa is driving an international initiative to educate, refocus, and enable millions of African communities to create a new, green Africa for the 21st century through faith-based communities. God's Green Africa is mobilizing non-government organizations with resources to provide a greater quality of life across the African continent. With the technical assistance, in-kind donations, educational seminars/conferences, teaching resources and financial assistance of God's Green America, efforts will create a blueprint for aid in underprivileged countries around the world.

God's Green Africa has isolated three key capacity building initiatives that will unlock movement in Africa: accountability, transparency and sustainability. Many good-hearted engagements in underprivileged countries start well, but lose traction over time because these three areas were lacking. God's Green Africa will leverage best practices within the scope of these initiatives to bring about lasting change.

Green Apple Sustainable Solutions offers tools used in caring for the places we inhabit in the earth. Leveraging the expertise of partners from leading universities, green consultants, engineers and energy efficiency companies, God's Green America harvests the best strategies and technologies for greening home, business, community and places of worship. Green Apple Sustainable Solutions combines sophistication and science in its role as an honest broker providing sustainability solutions and combining the latest technologies with a practical understanding of what really works.

The ability to tell a story has been valued since the beginning of recorded history Master storytellers have woven tragedy and triumph into creations that encouraged entire civilizations to reflect on that which was important - life, death, birth, loss. There has been no end of a good story to reflect on the mystery that is life.

God's Green America values the creation of a good story. It's media division, Green Apple TV, uses the screen to tell the stories of a new generation as it wrestles with what it means to be caretakers of the universe. Whether it be the development of its own content or the harvesting of user-generated video, Green Apple TV will tell the stories of the next best generation and its quest to affect the earth for good.

God's Green Home delivers intelligent resources and guidance in every detail of the closet - the kitchen, bathroom, closet and yard. Strategies and tips on sustainable design ideas, eco-friendly beauty and fashion, organic cooking and general resources for improving life's wellness quotient are the focus. God's Green Home energizes its participants to become the hero of their universe - a better caretaker of themselves, loved ones, personal living space and the Earth itself.

VillageMakers International is a division of God's Green America working with organizations around the world who seek to rebuild villages and urban areas with sustainable technologies that allow its inhabitants to work with the earth in meeting the needs of everyday life.

One example of our "village" of partners around the world is Powered by Action, a humanitarian relief and economic development organization acting as an agent of change in Africa, Haiti and the United States. In Ghana and Kenya, where 45% of the population lives on less than $1 a day, Powered by Action is working with a local development partner to build and maintain water wells, develop and operate new schools, establish and run health clinics, and construct and program youth homes. Our joint efforts are linking resources abroad to create jobs and a greater standard of living in over 400,000 Sub-Saharan African villages.
